Branding for oac

Open A Cappella provide a centralised community platform for university a cappella groups in the UK. They promote new releases and events, provide educational resources, and host an annual university wide a cappella competition. I worked closely with the founder to develop their brand identity and created assets for social to see the brand in action.

Finding a voice

the project

The timescale of this project was 6 months.

I delivered a logo and brand guidelines, display picture and banner for social media, 7 social media posts, and templates and assets for future post creation.

The target outcome was to establish a strong brand identity and voice for the OAC on social media.

the process

I used Illustrator and Photoshop during this project.

This project saw me learn to create and follow a brief, as well as to work comfortably within guidelines.

Being one of two designers meant I had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects with a variety of stakeholders.

We communicated via Slack and Zoom.

achievements

The metric we used to measure success was positive interactions and feedback from followers.

We achieved increased engagement and following. Plus, brand strategy, guidelines and templates for social.

Working on a longer term project allowed me the opportunity to continuously optimise my work over time.
